It works like this:

Customers tap an NFC tag with their phone
This opens the meed experience for consumers
Enrols them as a member in your program if they have not yet joined (or just logs them back in)
Gives them a stamp right there and then.

How to get your Checkin Link

Log in to the meed Business Portal at https://portal.meedloyalty.com, using the username and password from when you created your program.

You will land on the Overview page. Look to the right side of the top panel where it says “Quick Actions”. Click on the area labelled “Checkin”.

Select the location you will use this in; Checkin tracks which locations in your program earn the stamps.

Click “Copy Clickable Link”. This will copy the URL needed to activate checkin to your clipboard. Paste it somewhere safe where you can find it. It looks something like this:

Writing the Checkin URL to an NFC Tag

This is surprisingly easy!

Grab NFC Tools from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play, and install on your phone (it’s free!)

Grab a blank NFC Tag (see note below, they are very easy to buy).

Open NFC Tools then:

Click “Write”
On the new screen, click “Add a Record”
Paste the URL and then delete “https://” from the front so it looks like the image below. Click the “Tick” in the top right corner
Click “Write”. The “Ready to Scan” indicator will appear.
Tap your phone to the NFC tag and wait for it to vibrate.
That’s it!
