Use a Second Visit Coupon to Get Customers To Come Back Again

The great thing about meed's coupon delivery capabilities is that there are no limits.


We all know that repeat visits early in the relationship are essential to ensure visiting your store becomes a habit!


meed enables you to do this by creating a series of coupons so that when a customer joins your loyalty program on meed they know right then and there why they should come back often.


This tutorial shows a tactic that we have found effective with early adopters of meed: the Second Visit Coupon.

Create a Second Visit Coupon


For our stamp card, we used an item reward, which can be redeemed directly for a product. For example, a free coffee after purchasing eight espresso drinks. For our welcome offer, we used a discount. For our Second Visit Coupon, we will create a cash coupon.


This uses the same coupon management screen as other tutorials, so log into meed and go to the Coupon Management Screen (Click Coupon in the main menu bar).


Click the orange button, "Create Coupon".

We're specifically going to create a cash voucher, so:


  • Select the Cash Voucher option at the top of the screen

  • Select the cash value and currency.


Create your coupon

As with all other coupons and rewards, please give it a name. We called this one "2nd Visit" so customers know exactly what it is. We also set a minimum spend amount in the description field, as this is intended to drive up revenue rather than just give away free items. We created a lovely image using AI to say "$100 off"


Lastly, set the end date for the coupon - we have selected December 31, as we think we will have fresh offers in the new year.


Create your coupon

With all the data entered, click the Launch Coupon button.


Your campaign is live, and you are returned to the Coupon Management screen.


All your members will be notified that a new coupon is in their wallet via push notification. Clicking this will take them to their Apple or Google Wallet Pass, and if they click my rewards on the back they will be logged in directly to their membership page on the meed Consumer web site. This is what it looks like to your members, with your new reward already live:

As you can see, you can create incentives for repeat visits to your store through redemption offers, cash vouchers, and percentage discounts.
